Having dined here more than 200 times, I can confidently say that this is a must-stop for anyone craving authentic Indonesian cuisine. The food is consistently flavorful, with their signature ayam penyet always hitting the spot. The sambal packs a serious punch, adding the perfect level of heat and richness to every bite. However, I have noticed that the sambal portion has been getting smaller over time, which is disappointing considering it’s such a key element of the meal. While the quality is still there, the quantity is decreasing while the price to add more sambal keeps increasing. I truly hope Wong Solo maintains their generous sambal servings because it’s one of the main reasons why many loyal customers keep coming back. Despite this minor issue, Wong Solo Melaka remains one of the best spots for Indonesian food. Their rich flavors, tender chicken, and overall satisfying meals make them stand out. I just hope they continue to uphold their standards and ensure that every customer gets the same generous, delicious experience they’ve come to love. ”
“ Overall taste are so good! They improved a lot now because they using system self service like fast food. The price of ala carte ayam kampung penyet is RM 9.30 & talapia penyet cost RM 8.20 without rice. Rice cost RM 2.70 each. You can also take set if you love tempe & tauhu. We don’t eat tauhu & tempe so much. Their sambal penyet taste really good!! Recommended! My all time fave ayam penyet ”
“ I went here for Iftar with my family of 10. We booked the table 3 hours prior arrival. No deposit needed. The staff took our order during phone booking. On arrival, our table is ready. Foods and drinks prepared prior Maghrib’s athan. I ordered Set Jakarta for my big families. It’s a lot and more than enough. We enjoyed the delicious spreads of foods. Alhamdulillah. Food extremely delicious. We take away leftover foods. Food container provided. Price is reasonable. Musolla is available at upper floor. Toilet is available too. Restaurant is clean. Staff is attentive and polite. Definitely my place to go for ayam penyet. ”
